MANAGING DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT KEEPS IT IN THE FAMILY

After 30 years heading up one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of decontamination units, Allen Yates has decided to hand over the management of the company to his son Craig, although he will retain an interest in the company on a consultancy basis.

Of the new appointment Allen Yates said: “It’s not just about ‘keeping it in the family’, Craig also has the essential engineering qualifications and experience to take the business forward.  I am confident that with Craig at the helm the company will continue to grow from strength to strength.”

Craig joined Showers and Eyebaths Services early last year (2007) having had over 10 years of both UK and International corporate experience.  As the new managing director, he will be seeking to continue the dramatic growth of the company through innovation and cultivation.

Craig said: “One of the key issues facing world class manufacturing is people management. If you keep the workforce happy, then they will be dedicated to the company, and the end product will be excellent. Our innovative, forward thinking product development is a good example of how strong team work is playing a vital part in the growth of Showers & Eyebaths Services. 

“We are proud to be working with some of the leading companies in the water, oil and chemical fields both here and overseas and over the next few months we will be introducing some exciting new products to aid operatives who work in extreme and variable climatic conditions.

“It is an exciting time and I am delighted with my new role and my dad’s decision to place the company in the hands of the next generation, although those that know Allen will know that he will never be too far away!”
