UK MANUFACTURER'S SAFETY EQUIPMENT IN DEMAND

Leading UK emergency tank shower manufacturer Showers & Eyebaths Sevices has today announced that is has received a £0.5 million contract to supply 42 emergency tank showers to Abu Dhabi.

The emergency tank showers, five of which will feature a water chiller unit to ensure the water in the header tank is maintained at 20 degrees centigrade. These will be sited within the onshore gas development project in the Bab Thamama gas fields.

Janet Dickinson, operations manager at Showers & Eyebaths said: "We are very excited by this order as we see it as further proof that the operators of the major oil and gas fields are more than confident of our quality safety equipment that meets the demands of their workforce and will stand up to the extreme environmental conditions.

In the current economic climate this is a huge boost to UK manufacturing and sees our order book being at its highest level for sometime.

The tank showers, MODEL GFTS12L gurantees 15 minutes of water. Five units also feature a water chiller unit to ensure the water in the header tank is maintained at 20 degrees centigrade. All can be fitted with many optional extras, eg: strip curtain and side/rear panels, to ensure the spray is contained, alarms, lamps and walk on platforms.

The units are all highly visible and are manufactured from glass reinforced plastic and stainless steel which are corrosion resistant materials, giving a long life and suitability for outside use. They are manufactured to ATEX standard for use in hazardous areas.
